From the day she was born we have hugged and kissed Little G to within an inch of her life. Now she is 2 (and a half… that half is very important don’t you know?) and she has decided she no longer enjoys cuddles with Mummy and Daddy.
Occasionally I will be allowed a cuddle if I feign upset, she is feeling sleepy or has hurt herself. Daddy however, is banned completely. He gets really upset by this and takes it personally even though I have tried to explain it is just another phase. Luckily she is always happy to cuddle Baby L, her favourite person in the world.
The other day Little G was sitting next to her Daddy on the sofa and he asked for a cuddle. Her reply, as usual, was ‘NO!’ in a very stern voice. Clutching at straws he asked could he stroke her hand. She turned to him and in a very matter of fact way she informed him:
“Daddy, I am not a cat!”

Oh it's heartbreaking I know. GG went through this at much the same age. YOu'll be glad to know she's well up for cuddles again now!Love their wry statements!

I know :-( I get it but my husband takes it to heart bless him. Thankfully Baby L adores him so makes up for it with smiles and dribble :-)

Ha ha! Love it!My two and a half year old (you are right the half makes all the difference) is exactly the same! Cuddles are on her terms only ...... in fact that is much like our cat :-)

Haha!! Now that you've said that I can see the irony (is it irony I can never tell) in her choice of animals! It is exactly like a cat!!!!
