Every Christmas or birthday I have family members messaging me, asking what they can get the children and most times I send back a half-hearted list of things that I don’t really want in my house. When you have one child it isn’t so bad, but with three the amount of toys soon adds up and I often feel as though I am living in a toy shop!
This year was different though, this year I sent everyone links to bits and bobs I’d found on the Wicked Uncle website. I am not entirely sure how I stumbled across them but I did and I immediately loved everything on there. So when they asked me if I would like to work with them, I was more than happy to share my shopping experience, as honestly I will probably only ever shop with them for toys now.
The girls got some amazing gifts from their aunties and uncles, a rainbow projector, a butterfly hatching kit, a gorgeous wooden stable with ponies and so much more. It is so easy to find things as everything is grouped by age, or if you prefer you can sort by gender or by category. There is an overlap with the age brackets too so some things that might be suitable for a wider age range will appear within a few pages, just so handy.
Wills didn’t get much for Christmas as babies don’t need anything do they, so I thought I would use this opportunity to treat him to a little something now that he is a bit older. I chose a turtle night light, something that can be used for many years to come – the girls still love their night lights now.
The nightlight is by Cloud b, a brand we’ve used before when Lils was a baby. We had their Sleep Sheep and it was the only thing that could get her to sleep, using the sound of rain showers.
Twilight Turtle has a hard shell but soft body and has 3 colours that are projected onto the ceiling to reveal a starry night sky. It even has actual constellations which I think is pretty cool.
We are trying to teach Wills to settle himself to sleep at night and so far so good – he really seems to enjoy staring up at the stars until he drops off.
If you are looking for fun and unusual gifts for children then Wicked Uncle is just brilliant, I’ve been raving about it for the last couple of months now and like I said, I’ll be choosing all of the kids presents from there from now on.
We were gifted the turtle for the purpose of this post but as you probably can tell, all words and opinions are my own.
