Happy Days: A Weekend Away, Chocolate Oranges and Sunshine

Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it. Share your happy posts, Sian and I love to read them!

Happy Easter everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying the Easter weekend, it was so sunny yesterday, I really hope it continues but the fact we are meant to go on a picnic today probably means rain is on its way! Haha!

So what’s been making me happy this week?

– We went down to visit friends in Dorset, so nice to get away after being stuck indoors ill for so long.

– Homeschooling Little G. Even  though it is only for a few weeks we are having so much fun. I have been considering doing it full time and our time together the last few weeks has only amplified my desire to do it. If she didn’t love school so much I would have her out in a shot.

– Making yummy pies with the girls – you can see the video here. LJ’s voice at the beginning is too cute. (Little G’s too although she put on some weird high pitched voice for some reason).

– Feeing more and more movements from baby. I have felt flutters for weeks now but he/she has moved on to full on rolls and kicks.

– Eating a whole chocolate orange to myself. Yep. It was sooooo good.

– Hearing Mr F walk through the door. It may have been at 4am (grrr) but I always worry when he is out, so when he turns the key I am so relieved.

– Seeing my grandparents. They are both 90 soon, how amazing is that? I wish they didn’t live so far away but it is always lovely to see them. My grandad follows me on FB so he is always keeping up to date with my blog. Love it.

– Sunshine and warmth. A couple of days this week we have been able to have the doors open. Not quite warm enough to be out in the garden but it makes me so excited for the warmer weather.

Enjoy the rest of the bank holiday!

Sounds like a really lovely week - can't wait to watch your pie making video! My nan is 90 too and I can't quite believe it either - she has an iPad and emails us more often than my parents do, quite amazing! Thanks for hosting #HappyDaysLinky

What a lovely week you have had Katy. So glad to hear that you are enjoying homeschooling Little G and how lovely to be feeling proper movements from baby now - those movements are the thing I miss most about pregnancy. Lovely to have seen your grandparents this week too and reading about you eating a whole chocolate orange makes me want one now! Thanks for hosting #HappyDaysLinky and hope you are having a lovely weekend :-)
