Me & Mine: February

This month has seemed so long, as have the last few months. However the last week has completely flown by, as finally I have been able to share our news. These photos of the four of us are going to become so precious (I have said before how I wish I had started this project when it was just 3 of us) because as of September, or possibly August, there will be 5 of us in the photo. How crazy is that? When I told the girls the news I was so scared, worried that they wouldn’t be excited. Thankfully they have taken the news on board so well and now we just have to wait and keep our fingers crossed that everything will be ok.

We always said we wanted three children, Mr F is one of three and I always believed I would have three, but then we had our two and we thought we were done. Towards the end of last year I was sitting in a cafe and a new mum came in, pushing her baby in her pram. It was like a switch had been turned on, feelings stirred and I knew I wasn’t done. It is going to mean huge changes for our little family but I am excited, if not a little nervous right now.

This month’s photo was taken very very last minute last night. I did get home in daylight after my weekend at the Blognix retreat, but I was so tired that I stole a cheeky nap while everyone else watched Finding Nemo. I think that is the first nap I have had in a good few years! So, under a bright light we snuggled together under the duvet on the sofa, the four of us and the hope I am carrying inside.
