Children love boxes don’t they? Such a simple thing but it can spark imagination and lead to a great adventure. This week we received a large parcel and rather than throw the box away I saved it to take to our garden party.
The girls had great fun climbing in and out of it, turning it this way and that. Little L found it hysterical to climb in and hide- laughing each time she jumped out and we said peekaboo!
We also took some paints with us and the girls happily turned it into a house, cutting out the windows and painting the walls red. It was a bit windy so it didn’t get finished- we will have to finish it off later this week.

My two still love playing with boxes, I get the feeling it'll be a long time before I'm allowed to recycle a cardboard box ;-)
