We love listening to music in this family, we always have the radio on during the day to have background music while we play or tidy the house. The thing is with radio is there are constant interruptions from DJ’s talking nonsense isn’t there? So when I was asked whether I would like to try out a new device from Electric Jukebox, I was intrigued!
It is a very clever little device, that comes in 2 parts; a remote and a dongle. The dongle connects to your wifi and to your tv via the HDMI port.
Once you are all plugged in and connected to wifi you then have access to 29 million songs! 29 million!! That is amazing! What is even better is that there are new songs added all the time and they have current number ones accessible too!
The remote is easy to use, with 4 simple buttons. All self explanatory but the best one is the little mic button at the bottom. Pressing that activates voice control! So brilliant!
Tell the remote which artist you are looking for and it will bring them up! Honestly it is so simple even my girls are able to use it!
The program itself is easy to navigate too, with the point and click feature, and I like that you can add songs to your favourites in ‘My Music’, making them easier to access the next time you turn it on.
The best part for me is the fact that after the one-off payment of £169 it is completely free to use. You get a licence for 1 year, with no ads at all and no monthly fee. After your year is up, you have 2 options; either pay £52 for another year of ad-free listening or keep it free but have ads running every now and then. For a pound a week that works out great either way I think!

Wow thats different! What a great idea, we are music lovers too but very rarely bother with it as we are a little old fashioned and still have a lot of CDs in this house! I like the fact that I would not have to bother with messing around with finding CDs (normally in the wrong box) and juggling putting them in with holding a baby. I do feel bad that Monkey doesn't get to hear his music or audio books very often so will have to investigate. Great price too, I spend more than £1 a week on chocolate! x

This sounds incredible. 29 million songs?! That's got to keep everybody happy. I think it's fantastic value as well considering how much we pay for Apple Music and Spotify in this household.

I've never heard of this! My other half loves a music channel - but the adverts since it's really just tv get on my nerves. This sounds right up our street - surely with 29 million songs we could find something we both want to listen to!

We love music in our house and at the moment do pay for subscription monthly. This sounds so much better because I love that you pay a one off fee for the device and then later a subscription fee, if you want to keep it ad free. Fantastic that it gives you the choice of having ads or not. Looks really easy to use though.
