Me & Mine: December

Merry Christmas everybody!! Can you believe it is December- where on earth has the year gone? I am totally blaming this series as it always seems to be time to take the next month’s photo. At least it gets me to stop and reflect on the month, or else the time would fly and I’d have nothing to show for it!

This month, as promised, we are all in our Christmas jumpers. Kindly sent by the lovely team at Next, a brand that I love – I have quite a few of their Christmas jumpers already! We even have Mr F in a festive knit- he doesn’t always play ball but he actually likes this one so that is great! My mum has bought him one with Rudolph on apparently- can’t see him wanting to wear that on Christmas day!

This month has been about germs in our house. Every single one of us came down with some sort of flu- Little G had 10 days off school which is unheard of!! We are all better now thank goodness and will hopefully stay well for the rest of the winter months.

Due to being stuck indoors for most of the month our lives have been pretty uneventful. It has just been a time spent snuggled on the sofa watching dvds- the best times in actual fact. My fondest memories as a child were those when I was at home with my mum, either poorly or school holidays. So having both of my girls home unexpectedly has been really lovely.

We celebrated LJ’s 2nd birthday on the 15th, which meant more family time with extended family members. It was one of the best get-togethers we have had in a long time. I love big families and it makes me wish ours was a little bigger. I have visions of Christmasses with family around the table, all the kids back for the holidays. I think I watch too many American Christmas movies on Movies 24!!

I am publishing this me & mine a little earlier than normal as a virtual Christmas card. Have a great Christmas!!
