Pregnancy: Taking A Test On Christmas Eve

I don’t even know if you will ever get to read this but if you do you will be reading this way in the future from now. I cannot even believe I am saying this but.. I am pregnant.

Over the last few days I haven’t felt right, just something not entirely normal within myself. I have been a little dizzy, my boobs have been a little sore and just I’ve just felt, I dunno, weird. I am not sure what made me do the test today but I had one left over from ages ago and thought I would just give it a go. I wasn’t expecting 2 little lines but had to put my mind at rest.

It took a while for the lines to appear and knowing it may well be out of date made me doubt it. But then what if it was true? So, on Christmas Eve like an absolute lunatic I dragged the girls down to Asda to buy one of those First Response tests. Seeing the words would make it true.

Thankfully I have been peeing for England the last few days so managing another test half an hour or so after the first wasn’t so hard. I can tell you now, those 3 minutes were the longest ever. With the other two girls I knew already and the test was just a confirmation. But waiting for an answer when you were absolutely petrified of that answer is quite torturous.

You see I thought I was done, I had my 2 little girls and I was happy. People have been saying for a while when is the next one coming along? and I have always been adamant that we were done. Now I am not saying this baby has come as a complete surprise, I knew it was a possibility, I just didn’t imagine it would be now. Today. Christmas Eve.

But there we are, those little words are there for all to see.

Now I just have to tell Mr F. I think I may tell him tomorrow morning as an extra Christmas present!
