Welcome to HappyDays! If you are new then take a look here. The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, whether that be at home, out and about at the park or away on holiday. Jenna and I want everyone to see the happy in every day!
I am off to Blogstock this weekend! So excited as we are staying in a yurt!! I was so jealous of everyone who went to Camp Bestival but finally I get to experience the fun of a festival! Wish me luck!!
This week has been an odd one with a bank holiday and Little G starting nursery on Wednesday. It has meant we aren’t quite in a routine and haven’t known whether we are coming or going!
We had a lovely weekend away in Devon, so much so we are seriously considering moving down there. Our lives up here are happy but the way of life down there is so relaxed and the girls would grow up living by the beach. Not to mention the price of houses are half what we have to pay up here. If we sold our 3 bed terraced and bought a house of the same value down there we would have a 4 bed detached! Just not fair is it?
Either way we won’t be going anywhere yet so I am making the best of what we do have and am carrying on my efforts to decorate the house. Monday was spent drilling holes here there and everywhere, one of the projects being my new kitchen blind! I have been on the look out for the right shade of red for a while and finally found one I liked. The kitchen is now complete! Hurrah! Here is a sneak peak but I will be writing about it in full when I get chance (and when there aren’t dishes everywhere!!).
Wednesday was Little G’s first day at school, I went with her this time to ease her in. Not that she needed it at all, she would have been happy to be left straight away. Thursday was her first proper afternoon and she totally loved it! She spent the whole walk home telling me all about the new friends she had made and the things she had done. She was a bit disappointed that she didn’t get a reading book in her book bag! What a swot!

It has been so odd not having her around in the afternoons, that was normally when we had our fun! Our days are so different now compared to her pre-school days when she only did three mornings. Then I had mornings to myself as LJ would sleep the whole 2 hours- perfect slot for housework or blogging. She still naps in the mornings which means she is very much awake while Little G is at nursery. I have totally forgotten what to do with a toddler, I hadn’t realised how much I relied on the two of them playing together for entertainment. We are going to have to forge a new routine to make the best of our mornings as a three and the best of the afternoons just me and LJ.

I am really hoping next week brings routine and that I can get organised to make the most of every moment. Hope you’ve all had a lovely week!

Little G looks so adorable in her school uniform. And I love the photo of her blowing the dandelion. It must be odd not having her around and having to sort out a new routine for you all. I would also love to move to the seaside. It is such a nice relaxing way of life. Thanks for hosting #HappyDaysLinky lovely lady. Hugs Mrs H xxxx
