I love all of the seasons, I am so glad that I live in a country where I can see the leaves on trees changing colour, that I can take my children to the beach in summer and build snowmen in the winter. I do find that I get fed up of one season after a while and long for the next season to arrive. I am not sure I would cope if I lived somewhere with no variation.
Spring is here, although some days you would be forgiven for thinking it is still winter. Nevertheless the signs are there, the daffodils are out and the leaves are reappearing on the trees. I get so excited for spring, it is a chance to start a fresh and embrace every opportunity to get outside.
What does spring mean to me?
♥ Daffodils. Being a March baby daffodils are my birth flower and so never fail to make me feel happy.
♥ Fresh cut grass. Is there a better smell? It tells me that the warmer weather is just around the corner. I am sure Mr F wouldn’t agree as it means the tiresome job of mowing the lawn is on the way!
♥ Fresh air. Throwing open the windows and getting fresh air in the house is something I absolutely adore! I am particularly loving that Little L is walking this year and so I will be able to leave the door open all day for the two of them to wander in and out of the garden.
♥ Spring cleaning. I always get an urge to do a deep clean of the house in springtime. I think it goes hand in hand with having the doors open. Having a clean house full of fresh air is just amazing!
♥ A change of wardrobe. I always put my spring/summer clothes away when Autumn comes so it is so nice to be able to get them back out again when spring is just around the corner.
♥ Longer days With the clocks going forward it means it is still light when Mr F comes home. I especially love it on weekends when we can go out for dinner and enjoy the sun for a bit longer.
♥ Washing on the line. My absolute favourite thing about spring is the fact I can once again hang my washing on the line. For someone without a tumble drier it is so nice to have clear radiators. Not to mention the fact we use cloth nappies and they dry so much quicker on the line!
What does Spring mean to you?

I feel the same way about daffodils! I miss them - none here in Mexico. I recently wrote a post about some of the differences between spring here and in the UK - http://mummyandthemexicans.blogspot.mx/2015/04/what-i-miss-about-spring.html
