Valentines day is just around the corner! Where is the year going? If you are like me then you will struggle to think of ideas for gifts. So, with that in mind I have scoured the internet for unusual and unique ideas for presents to give your other half. Hopefully there will be something on here for everyone!
A game- Do you find that you spend all your time staring at the tv or chatting on social media? These conversation starter cards* from TAOC are fab! I have not had such a lovely evening talking in a long time!
They would make a cute gift, maybe as part of a hamper, for anyone looking to re-ignite a relationship! £7.78 from Amazon.
Candles- I love a candle, our house is full of them. I found this really fun idea over at Lady Chocolate- a chocolate candle*! They have so many designs and also offer dairy free options!
Music- How better to spend a romantic evening than listening to your favourite music. These cards can be personalised and contain a code to be able to download an album of your choice. I ordered the Sam Smith album* for Mr F, such a great idea! To find out more have a look at how we got on or check out the albumcards website.
Jewellery– This may be an obvious gift but I would still struggle to think of what to get! This lovely bracelet from Tresor Paris* is simple yet elegant and also supports a very important cause.
Prices start at £19 and 25% goes to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
New bedding– Isn’t it lovely getting into bed with clean linen? These pillow cases* are so adorable and would make a lovely gift for a couple.
Pillow cases £16.99 for the pair from Love Pillow Cases
Each pillow case is made from a poly-cotton mix and are so soft to the touch. There are lots of different designs available so check out their website for more ideas!
Something for the home– I love filling our home with beautiful things and am always on the lookout for unique objects. How cute are these marble heart coasters* from Marbletree?
The coasters are £20 for the pair
Each coaster is hand carved out of marble and are available in 2 colours. They are weighty, a real quality addition to any home. You can also have them gift wrapped and sent to any address- perfect for a surprise gift!
A day trip– Sometimes you need to get out of the house right? Why not surprise a loved one with a day trip for two? I love the sound of a Chocolate Ecstasy Tour* – who wouldn’t love eating chocolate for a couple of hours? See how we got on when we spent the morning exploring the chocolatiers of London!
Tours start at £33 per person- venues are in London & Brighton, with York being added soon.
A handmade gift– I do love trawling Pinterest, looking for cute handmade gifts to make for Mr F. I came across the idea of a cuddle basket and I LOVE it! Take a look at what I included in my basket for ideas!
What are you thinking of getting for your Valentine?
I would love it if you had a look at my ‘Ideas for Dating your Husband‘ post!
The items marked with an asterisk were given in return for inclusion in this gift guide. All words and thoughts are my own.

The chocolate trip sounds great. Love the basket idea too! We dont really do anything other than cards for valentines day and my other half begrudges that - hes a 'its invited by card companies' kind of bloke!

We don't do cards either although last year I made one with G's handprints. He is right, it is indeed a Hallmark occasion but doesn't mean you can't add your own handmade twist to make it personal. :-) x
