Inside: A look at the new autumn / winter coats from Lands’ End. Press samples included.
The cold weather has certainly arrived now, hasn’t it? Time to dig out the hats, gloves and scarves and get new coats for the kids. We’ve had Lands’ End coats for a few years now and they keep the kids toasty warm all winter – even through those 8 days of bitter cold and snow we had in 2022.
Of course, they don’t just have kids coats, but have a great selection of winter coats for both men and women too.

Here are our choices for this year, they all look so smart!
Girls’ Fleece Lined ThermoPlume Coat
The girls both chose the same coat style but wanted different colours to suit their individual tastes. Long gone are the days where I can dress them all in matching outfits!

Grace chose the Fleece Lined ThermoPlume Coat in Baltic Teal, a really gorgeous colour that is not too bright but bold enough that I can spot her in a crowd.

It is padded but not too bulky or heavy – the insulation is made using ThermoPlume®, a lightweight material made from approximately 11 recycled plastic bottles per coat. How cool is that?

It has a gorgeous faux fur trim on the hood and is fleece lined to keep her warm and comfortable. I would wear it myself to be honest!

Lily chose the same coat but in a different colour – Chicory Blue Stars. It is fun and playful and perfect for her happy smiley disposition.

It too has a faux fur hood trim but she has made use of the fact it is detachable. Easily done with poppers to keep it in place if you prefer.

Once the trim is removed, there is a flap that hides the poppers, making it seem as though the trim was never there.

One of their favourite features is the fact that all of their coats have the SnowGuard inner cuffs with thumb loops – perfect for those chillier days.
Boys’ Fleece Lined ThermoPlume Parka
William went for a very similar style coat to the girls and is actually a very similar style to a Lands’ End coat he had a couple of years ago. He loved his old one so much he wanted to have the same again.

Look at his happy face! His coat is the Boys’ Fleece Lined ThermoPlume Parka in the Cranberries/Deep Sea Navy colour combination.

As with the girls’ coats, his is also water-resistant, with a quilted ripstop shell and with the lightweight ThermoPlume® insulation throughout. It also has a generous zip-up pocket on each side – perfect for all his ‘treasures’ he collects when we are on nature walks.

I love when brands know their customers and what they need and Lands’ End know that kids are forever losing their coats in school. So, they have included a name label so that kids and their coats can be reunited easily!
The kids are thrilled with their coats, as am I – they will keep them warm and dry over the coming winter months, right through to spring.
