Christmas gift ideas for mums

Hands up if you’ve ever had to buy your own Christmas present?

Hands up if you’ve ever opened up your present and felt as though your partner must have forgotten and bought it last minute….

Yes, me too…

I actually decided to do this 5 category system for the kids originally but my husband liked it and adopted it when buying for me (yippee!). It means he has guidelines when thinking of presents and I don’t get asked to buy them for myself!!

This is the rhyme…

Something you want,

Something you need.

Something to wear,

Something to read.

Something to do..

& I love you.

Here are a few ideas for each category. Hopefully they will give you inspiration for the woman in your life.

Something they want

I love organisers – I don’t know that I’d be able to get through the day without one! This set is from Your Own Life Organised and I really love it! It has an organiser for the year and a Bedside Book which gives you prompts and get you thinking.

I have wanted a microphone for ages now and if you know someone who makes videos, podcasts or uses their basic pc mic for anything – this mic from Blue would be a great gift! I can’t wait to start using it to see the difference a quality mic can make.

Something they need

I love cooking and a proper cast iron casserole dish is something I have been wanting for the longest time. ProCook have some amazing deals on dishes and I love that they have different colours and sizes available.

My dad bought my mum a new diary every single Christmas – it was a bit of a tradition. This Mary Poppins diary from Danilo is so cute – perfect for keeping a note of important dates throughout the year.

My nails are in such poor condition and so this set from Mavala is the perfect gift. With nourishing treatments for both hands and nails, you can strengthen them up ready for painting.

Something to wear

White Stuff always have the loveliest pieces but this Foxy Franz jumper is extra special because it is their charity jumper. All of the profits go towards supporting local charities across the UK and Germany. The perfect gift that keeps on giving!

Something to read

I am really loving self-improvement books at the moment and the series from Build + Create is perfect for covering all bases. Enjoy Time, Being Creative and Think Differently are just three from the series but all really great books to get you thinking.

Something to do

I never have (or make) time to go to spas for a massage, so this Hot Rocks set from Find Me A Gift is a great way to make the time. It comes with the rocks, a scented candle and incense to help set the scene.

I used to paint my nails every other day – then I had children. I just don’t have the time but I still want my nails to look nice and have the colour last. This starter kit from Sensationail includes everything you need to give you gorgeous nails. From 10 colours to a lamp that cures in 30 seconds!! Perfect!!

I have also made a little video if you prefer watching instead of reading:

I hope that helps!

I was gifted some of the items in this gift guide. All words and thoughts are my own.
