Me & Mine: March

Is spring here yet? I am not sure to be honest but I am super excited for the warmer weather. We have so much to look forward to as a family over the next few months, I am so ready for it! I am now 18 weeks pregnant but still can’t quite believe that in a few short months there will be 5 of us in our me & mine photos. How crazy is that?

We didn’t have the best start to the month, with all 4 of us being struck down with Norovirus. The girls had never had a sickness bug before so I wasn’t quite sure how to deal with it. Little G wasn’t too bad being older, not that it made it any better for her but at least she understood what was happening. LJ was beside herself with the whole thing, she didn’t know which way to turn and I felt so so sorry for her. Why does sickness always strike at night too?? I had about 4 hours sleep over 3 days with looking after the two of them and being ill myself. Just awful.

Besides that, we’ve just taken it easy really. Up until this photo was taken I had felt as though we hadn’t spent much time together, just the four of us. We had been away for weekends to visit friends and spent other weekends visiting family, obviously we were together but it isn’t the same is it? So, on Easter Saturday I rallied the troops and we all went for a brisk walk in the countryside.

Off for a walk with me and mine

I hadn’t intended on it being such a long walk, thinking we would be about an hour in total. 3 hours later we crawled through our front door, absolutely exhausted! It is the most exercise I have done in a good few months so I was dead on my feet! It was so nice though, we walked along the river and played Pooh sticks. We saw lots of animals on the way around the nature reserve too, ducks, cows and some massive trout!

Me and Mine by the river

We came home and had our traditional lunch of French stick and a meat platter – Saturdays are just not the same without it! I wish all weekends could be like that, just us, but life always gets in the way doesn’t it?

Lovely photos but sorry to hear you have all been poorly, there is nothing worse than everyone getting a sickness bug. Luckily we have avoided them this winter, bar I had one, but I am still hoping that they won't arrive now! It is so weird to think there will be another person in your photos soon, I still can't get my head around the fact there will be one in mine! x

Oh love :( I can't believe you all had the dreaded bug!!! We had it back in January — NOT FUN. Just awful isn't it? Especially when you have little ones. No chance of retreating and just going back to bed when you have kids who have the same thing — YUK. Let's hope that April is kinder and we ALL have a well and happy month :) #MeAndMine
