When I was a little girl I loved Barbie. I had Barbie dolls, a Ken doll and even a Skipper doll I think and I loved that I could play pretend different scenarios that mimicked real life. And of course, I loved Barbie’s clothes!
Barbie inspires children by encouraging them to play make-believe with different play sets. From Marine Biologist Barbie to Gymnastics Barbie, children can have their eyes opened to the world around them in a fun way.
We have been playing with a few sets from the world of Barbie at Very and I have loved seeing my little girl enjoying them as much as I did when I was her age.
Inspiring interests
I love that Barbie has loads of interests and jobs to choose from. Does your little one love animals? Barbie can inspire them to be a vet or a marine biologist. Maybe they love dance? Barbie can inspire them to be a ballerina or gymnast.
Lily is obsessed with gymnastics. She has never taken a class but spends most of her days upside down doing cartwheels or flips. With Gymnastics Barbie and her balance beam, she can play pretend all of the moves that she loves – imagining that she is winning medals.

Inspiring dreams
What do they dream of? Going on holiday? Owning a dog? Being a mum? Or maybe they want to be a mermaid (that was always what I wanted to be)… it doesn’t matter – Barbie lets their imaginations take them where they want to go.
Imaginative play is also excellent for developing their communication skills too. Bonus!
