Hey Duggee – LJ’s New Favourite Character Plus a Giveaway

LJ doesn’t really watch too much tv, it doesn’t really grab her attention in the same was it did for Little G when she was that age. There are a few programs that do catch her attention though and Hey Duggee has become one of those shows. We have only recently discovered it but whenever it comes on she sits completely fixated. I enjoy it too as it is narrated by Alexander Armstrong- I just love his voice and it is perfect for this!

We have been playing with the Hey Duggee Clubhouse from Golden Bear and LJ absolutely loves it. She is really in to small world play at the moment and so it is perfect. It comes with a couple of bits of furniture so she can play around and make believe with the Duggee figure.

I would say though that it is not a toy for heavy handed children, I wouldn’t recommend it for toddlers really but LJ is a very sure footed, careful child so she is fine. I probably trust her with these things more than her sister who couldn’t be more clumsy if she tried!

We have also been loving the Hey Duggee Woof Woof cuddly toy which plays phrases and the theme tune when you press on his badges. If you watch the show you’ll know that Duggee is a bit like a Scout leader. He has his ‘squirrels’ and they come to his clubhouse in each episode to earn a badge. I have had the girls’ names down for Rainbows since they were babies and so I have been really pleased to see that Little G has been interested in the badge side of things.

She really enjoyed filling out the little sheets to earn her own badges and was pleased as punch when she had ticked everything off and got her badge!

Both toys have been a real hit with the girls and would make a great present for other little ones too. I have a cuddly Duggee to give away so one lucky winner will have one in time for Christmas! All you have to do is complete the widget below. Good luck!
