HappyDays #49

Welcome to HappyDays! If you are new then take a look here. The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, whether that be at home, out and about at the park or away on holiday. Jenna and I want everyone to see the happy in every day!

Hopefully you have all had a good week- the weather hasn’t been amazing has it? Not sure whether we are coming or going half the time, jumpers or sun hats?

So what have we been up to?

Not much if I am completely honest. I am not making good use of our days at all- total parent fail right there! Little G is so tired she isn’t in the mood to do very much at all half the time. It is completely wiping her out and by the end of the week she doesn’t even want to go to school at all! The novelty has well and truly worn off!!

So besides snuggling on the sofa we have been going to the park on dry days. We have even gone along with new friends from school which is really nice. One of the things you worry about as a parent is whether your child will make friends isn’t it? Thankfully Little G doesn’t seem to have any problems making friends and is as happy as larry in her new class.

I managed to capture possible my favourite photo ever of LJ while we were at the park on Thursday. Such a fab smile!

We have also done some crafting, getting a little ahead of ourselves with a project for school actually. They asked each child to design a Christmas card which we will then be able to buy. We will do the big reveal nearer the time but it involved green paint!

Time For Me

So we actually managed a date night this week! I was so looking forward to it as it is something we have had booked for ages!! We had planned a romantic picnic in beautiful grounds, enjoying the promised Indian summer while watching a movie on the big screen! Unfortunately it did not work out that way and we ended up shivering under blankets, sharing an umbrella! Brrrrrrrrr!

It was fun though and at the end of the movie they replayed the final dance again…. can you see what film we watched?

There was a great atmosphere and everyone there got up and started dancing! I was frozen to the core for about 4 hours afterwards- not sure how I don’t have a cold actually!!!

Hope you had a good week!

Awww that picture is so adorable, it made me start smiling just looking at it! Well done for persevering with the outdoor cinema, there are tons of these around London and I LOVE the idea but just not sure because of the weather. When you're that cold normally only a hot shower or bath will do X

I will think twice before doing it again but maybe July would be ok x

That is so nice for LG being so tried out. I still have an energetic boy bouncing off he wall after school! lol! LJ is so sweet. Love the one at the top as well. She is such a smily baby! Sorry to hear that the date night didn't go to plan. Such a bummer! Well, at least you get to spend time together. That is all its matter I suppose. x #HappyDays

That outdoor cinema experience sounds so cool (and chilly, LOL). I'm glad you didn't catch a cold, but it's too bad the weather wouldn't cooperate and give you a warm day.

I'm so glad little G is doing well making friends at school. I understand she's tired and not wanting to go to school after a long week.
