Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it. Share your happy posts, Sian and I love to read them!
How is half term almost over? I have no idea where the time has gone?! It has been such a lovely week here, with Gracie and Mr F having the week off, the first proper time we have all spent together since Wills was born. We’ve tried to make the most of our time together, doing things that will create memories for us to cherish forever. I hardly took a single photo as I was too busy enjoying the moment. 🙂
What has made my happy list?
– Having G and Mr F home. If only for the fact I didn’t have to get up a dressed at the crack of dawn! Ha!
– Charity. I am taking part in a lovely campaign with M & S and on Thursday night I went to London to wrap presents for GOSH. I’ll be writing about that very soon and will be showing you some fab wrapping styles!
– Soft play. Ok so a bit of an odd one, soft play is normally my idea of hell but we found a new one at a garden centre and it was lovely.
– You. As a blogger I share various aspects of my life and this week I opened up a little about my body and how I have felt in the past. The comments and private messages I got were so lovely, it makes me realise how lucky I am to be in a position to help others. I am so grateful to have such lovely readers.
– Winning. I won two competitions this week! I never win anything so I was over the moon! Now what will the third be? 🙂
– Stars. Have you ever been to the Royal observatory? We went to London for an event and decided to make a day of it by finding something else to do afterwards. We went to a show at the planetarium and it was great! Lils fell asleep poor lamb (I have to say I was very close to nodding off myself, the seats were so comfy) but Gracie loved it! We also went into the observatory itself but that was a waste of time so I wouldn’t bother with a ticket for that bit if you go – plenty of free things to look around.
– Bewilderwood. We had wanted to go on Monday but I had my 6 week check with the doctor. Tuesday was my night in London but we finally managed to get to Norfolk on Thursday. If you are looking for something different to do then I can definitely recommend Bewilderwood. It is all based around magical Twiggles and Boggles living in a wood, with story telling and craft activities for the kids. It is a bit pricey (I had a bit of a shock when Mr F told me what it had cost) but it was a great day.
I even got my face painted!! 🙂
– Duvet days. After two busy days we spent all of yesterday watching movies in our pjs (and yes I was wearing my new Christmas ones!!). I think Lils is coming down with something actually as she conked out and spent the whole afternoon asleep on the sofa.
We have a relaxing weekend planned and I am going to make sure everything is ready to go back to school on Monday. I always find Mondays so hectic with early morning reading, show and tell and sound of the week to organise! We have a Halloween party to look forward to though so I am excited for that!
Have a good weekend!
