Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it.
This week has really dragged for some reason. I think it is the weather messing up my internal workings or something as I just can’t settle or focus on anything. Plus of course it was a full week – no lovely bank holidays to make it better!
But, it is all ok as it is finally Friday and I have a glass of Bailey’s in my hand! Hurrah!!
So what has made me happy this week?
– Twitter. Last week I said I was going to try and be more active on there. Well, I have really been trying and it has been really nice! I have started up conversations with people and it has felt like a social place again.
– Bonus days. Gracie wasn’t 100% on Thursday and yeh I could have pushed her to go in but I decided a restful day would do her good. We watched movies and had a little trip to Asda for lunch (and buy food haha) and it was so nice being the two of us again after last week’s INSET.
– Butterflies. Our caterpillars finally transformed! It was about a month in total I think but it was fascinating to watch. We released them on Thursday and waved them off to freedom.
– Developments. He is pulling himself to standing people!! I repeat, he is pulling himself to standing!! He can’t even crawl yet but all he wants to do is stand up! The monkey!! He is so proud of himself though and I can’t help but smile.
– Chats with Sian. Now you’ll know we are co-hosts of the linky and you may remember that we are friends in real life too. Well you probably don’t know that we hardly ever see each other in real life. I think it is because 1) we are both super busy but 2) we chat every single day online. We actually saw each other in person this week though albeit at the side of the road, but it was so nice.
– Laughter. Were you caught out in the rain yesterday afternoon? We were and we got soaked! Thankfully I’d driven so it was just the journey from school to the car but oh my word the girls and I were in stitches! We leapt into the car and couldn’t stop laughing at how wet we all were! Wills was less than amused and that made it even funnier!
Right that is all I can think of off the top of my head. Wills has just woken up (it is 7.40pm) and I don’t think he will be going back down any time soon! Baileys on hold, will have to crack open my Pringles instead!
Have a good weekend!

Oh I used to do the butterfly experiment with my kids at school - it's so lovely the day when you can release them. What a lovely thing to do together! So great that you all had a laugh about getting wet too. It's so good to be positive with kids in all weathers, you're such a fun mum! x

I love it when you can all laugh at having a good soaking. My oldest used to hate getting wet, the slightest drizzle would have him in tears and he'd refuse to leave the house (school mornings were fun!). Thankfully he's over it now and his little sister loves the rain as rain means puddles to jump in. We had a great day out on a treasure hunt recently we're we got drenched to the bone. Everyone else was ducking for cover and we just carried on with big smiles and laughter it was brilliant x #HappyDaysLinky

What a lovely sounding week. That's nice you got to see Sian. It's amazing watching the butterflies change isn't it? That's nice you spent the day with your little girl. Hope she's ok. Xx

*writing this while holding Baileys lol* We had the butterflies a year or so ago but I think I may get them again as Leo can't remember it and it's just such a nice experience for them as well. I did see your Insta story in the car after you got soaked - it made me giggle as it's happened to us before too and we were giggling too :) xx #HappyDaysLinky P.S. I'm ever so sorry to everyone on here for being flaky with commenting, will put this right this week x

There's something about getting absolutely soaked and having complete hysterics isn't there?! My motto is always 'it'll/we'll dry!'. Thanks for hosting #happydayslinky
