Inside: How to use two key pieces to create multiple looks this season. Dungarees and dress gifted from Fatface.
Back in the day – the day being 2 years ago – I would have bought myself a whole new wardrobe for autumn. I’d have bought new jumpers, new jeans, new cardis, boots… you name it, I’d have treated myself.
Why? Well, because why not?
But these days I know better. I know that my wardrobe has plenty of clothes already. But that is not to say tastes don’t change, sizes don’t change or clothes don’t wear out.
Do you need a whole new wardrobe? No. You just need a few key pieces to jazz up the items you already own.
And this year my key pieces are from Fat Face and I am completely in love with them. Which is amazing don’t you think? To truly love the pieces you add rather than just adding a tonne that will fall out of favour by the next year.
How to style dungarees, 5 ways
I am not joking, these are my favourite thing in the whole wide world. They are comfy, they are flattering and they go with everything.
For me, it is all in the detail and these Lewes Dungarees have all the details.
I made a video for IGTV to show 5 different looks…
How to style a dress, 5 ways
The Louise Trellis Floral Dress is in the perfect colour for autumn and is so versatile. It is also from The Stylist Edit this season and I love it.
Most of the time I am super casual, so a big bag with pumps and a denim jacket is a key look for me. Perfect for the school run!
This is one of my favourite ways to wear a dress – long cardi, pair of boots and a massive bag. It makes me feel really put together but is just as comfy as look number 1.
Got a lunch date? Want to wear a dress to work? Just want to look smart? Pop on a blazer and pair of smart flats and you’re good to go!
Did I say the other look was my favourite? Ok this is my favourite look. Because I feel cool! Fave pair of boots and a denim jacket and I am less mum and more me again.
I love a jumper-over-dress look, don’t you? It is a fun way to change the look of a dress, and you can go from a day to night look by taking off the jumper at the end of the day!
I hope you enjoyed the different looks – let me know which one you liked best in the comments. Find all of the Angie Smith Edit on the Fat Face website.
The dungarees and dress were gifted but all words and thoughts are my own.
