Debenhams Autumn Winter Style Challenge

This is a competition entry to Debenhams Style Challenge

I am in the middle of the #30daywardrobe challenge on Twitter and am realising quite quickly that I do not have enough outfits! When I heard about the Debenhams Autumn Winter Style Challenge I was very excited as I would love to be able to treat myself to some new clothes!!

Debenhams are offering bloggers the chance to win £500 worth of vouchers for themselves plus £500 for a friend!

All you have to do is create an outfit using items from one of their 6 A/W trends: Modern Military, Pastel Palette, Autumn Luxe, Blue Notes, Pinks & Berries or Winter Greens.

You then have to nominate a friend and create an outfit for them! They then do the same for another friend etc etc..

Rules:

You must mention the competition

Include product names for those used in the post.

Add your entry url at the bottom of The Daily Debrief.

So, here is my outfit:

AWstylechallenge

I really like the Military look so I based my outfit around the designer black zipped treggings (Star by Julien MacDonald) which I absolutely LOVE! I need trousers that will allow me to play with my children but the zip detail makes them look stylish!

I chose the black ribbed roll-neck jumper (The Collection) as I love snuggly knitwear. Again it had zip detailing on the back which linked in with the trousers.

As much as I wish I could wear heels they really aren’t sensible for going to the park so I chose these gorgeous black ‘Richy’ calf leather boots (Faith). I have wanted a pair like these for ages but haven’t had an excuse to have them! Now that the weather is getting colder and I can’t get away with flip flops I am thinking I am going to have to invest!

All that was left was accessories! Having a roll neck meant no necklace and I am not able to wear earrings at the moment for fear of Baby L ripping them out so I chose the three tier multi tonal snake chain bracelet (The Collection). I am forever rolling my sleeves up so a nice bracelet would be shown off well.

I LOVE bowler style bags!! I need a big bag to hold all of the stuff that comes with having a toddler and a baby and the designer black patent bowler bag is stylish but big enough to meet my needs!

As you can see, I am a fan of black!! In the summer I like a bit of colour but as soon as Autumn Winter comes around it is black black black- it is slimming after all!

I am nominating Jenna over at Tinyfootsteps and this is the outfit I have created for her:

jennastyle challenge

Now, never having met Jenna in real life this is based on what I ‘think’ she would like. Her blog is a lovely shade of pink and so I chose the Pastel Palette Trend for her outfit. I chose the jumper first, I love a fluffy knit and the pink multicoloured eyelash knit jumper (Red Herring) looked so soft. Teamed up with some jeans it would look perfect!

I liked the pink quilted chain pumps (The Collection) and the Pink quilted grab bag (Red Herring) matched them nicely. Again, like me she needs a big bag for baby bits and bobs and the smaller handles means it will hang on the buggy easily.

No winter outfit is complete without a hat and scarf! I like the light pink pom pom knit bobble hat caught my eye and I thought Jenna’s little girl would like to touch it. There is a matching light pink pom pom knit snood too (both by Mantaray) – I prefer these to scarves as they stay in place!

The last thing I chose was the Clinique chubby stick moisturising lip colour balm. My lips always suffer in the colder weather so this way Jenna can stay gorgeous and moisturised!

So that is it! I hope you like my choices for us both (I hope Jenna likes hers!).

The competition closes 9th October, if you want to check out other entries search for #DebAWStyle on Twitter.
