My mum loves to drink tea, she drinks enough to fill a bathtub! So, when I was asked if I would like to try Teatulia I thought I would treat her to an afternoon of cream tea. She does me a massive favour by having my girls for me so I can work – dropping everything at short notice to fit in with my schedule. She loves having them of course but I am still thankful for everything she does.
We knocked on her door on Friday and she was so surprised to see us standing there with a picnic basket. We had filled it with scones, jam and clotted cream, yum!! We have had this picnic basket for so long now but barely ever use it, I am going to try and go on more picnics this year I think!
My mum has a tea set that she never ever uses- saves it ‘for best’, whatever that really means. I think if you have nice things they should be enjoyed! She has it all stored beautifully and I was a bit worried in case I dropped something but thankfully it all survived!
Teatulia comes in 5 different flavours- Lemongrass, Tulsi, Earl of Bengal, Green Tea and Black Tea. I don’t drink hot drinks at all (I know, I know!) so can’t say how it compares to others but she really enjoyed the different flavours. Her favourite was the Green Tea, she said it was refreshing.
We all tucked into the scones, I would love to say I made them myself but I would be lying- they were from Asda haha! Delicious though, I could have eaten about 10!
My mum really enjoyed having us round for tea. We see her most days but it was nice to just sit and relax, catch up about my weekend away and not have to worry about whizzing off the work. It has reminded me I need to spend more quality time with my mum, she is the only one I have!
What tea do you like? Do you prefer a Tetley’s or do you like to try new flavours?
We were sent some samples of Teatulia Organic Teas but ordinarily they retail at £3.40 each and are available from Holland & Barrett, Harrods and, selected independent health and wholefood stores nationwide.
