Cinema with a Toddler

This weekend we went to see Paddington at the cinema. This was exciting for two reasons: everyone has been raving about the movie since it was released but also this was the very first time Little G has been to the cinema!

I wanted her to have the full cinema experience so we bought pick ‘n’ mix, popcorn and fizzy drinks! She was so happy and it was lovely having mummy daughter time, just the two of us. Since Baby L has been born she has had to share me every single day, I cannot remember the last time we did anything just us.

We settled into our seats and the adverts began, I managed to sneak this photo of her, totally wide eyed at the huge screen (and high on pick ‘n’ mix!).

She loved the movie, as did I. The best bit was during the final scenes, when Paddington is on the roof, a little boy shouted ‘don’t let him die!’ to which the whole audience gave an ‘aaaaahhhhh’. Toddlers are cute when they want to be.

I will definitely be taking her to the cinema again!

Oh how adorable! She looks completely engrossed. I take my two to the cinema every now and again but usually to see one of the older films they show on a weekend for £1.50 per person. I begrudge paying £30 for the four of us to see a film, though we did receive a cinema voucher for Christmas so we'll perhaps go and see a new film soon!

Yes our local cinema does it for £1 which is such a bargain!! I did pay £13 in total for this trip as it was her first time but I wouldnt want to be paying for all four of us to go very often!! x
