I have been a Britax Mumbassador for 2 years now and am so honoured to have been asked to be a part of their team for a third year. Their products are all of the highest standard and I know that all three of my children are in the very best hands when we are out in the car.
I’m sure you will have seen that the laws have changed regarding booster seats and with Lils starting to grow out of her stage 1 carseat I wanted to make sure she had a seat that will last her until she is 12 years old under the new guidelines. Gracie has the the EVOLVA 1-2-3 Plus and we love it, so when we were asked to try the latest EVOLVA in the range I knew it would be a great seat.
The EVOLVA 1-2-3 SL SICT didn’t disappoint and the first thing I loved about it was the fact that it can be used with or without ISOFIX. We do have it in our car but not everyone does so I love that it is flexible like that. I only have one other experience of ISOFIX and that is with Will’s DUALFIX but I have to say I really like the way the EVOLVA attaches.
You pull down the flap to reveal a soft latch ISOFIX mechanism. Simply release the latch and pull out the clip – much easier than a rigid system, especially when you have 3 seats in a row like me!
Once you have the ISOFIX secured you pull on the strap and close the flap again. Simple! I used the seatbelt to secure the seat too – you can never be too safe can you?
The seat is actually suitable from 9kg so you can move them straight from their infant carrier. Of course Lils is a little older now but it will last her for years and years with the adjustable headrest.
It has all of the great features that are standard in Britax Römer products now, with the performance chest pads which spread any force across a child’s shoulders and chest.
It also has the CLICK & SAFE® audible harness system, great for knowing you have strapped them in tight enough.
The newest technology being used by Britax Römer is SICT (Superior Side Impact Cushion Technology). The little dials swivel out and if you should be in a collision they take the force, deforming to absorb energy exerted on your child.
I am really impressed by the seat and I know that just like the others we have, it will keep my little girl safe. If you are looking for an upgrade on a car seat then I can definitely recommend the EVOLVA 1-2-3 SL SICT as a car seat and high back booster.
