A Sporting Family

When I married Mr F I knew I was entering into a sporty family. There are three brothers and each of them are sports mad! It drives all of their friends mad as they can never be beaten and even if they try their hand at a new sport they excel straight away!

I am the total opposite, I suck at sports and do not have a competitive bone in my body! We were always curious to see what our children would be like (it horrified Mr F that he may end up with lazy kids!). Thankfully for him they are already showing a keen interest in sports and as much as I am not a fan of any form of real exercise I will never show that to them. I will encourage them and join in any game they want to play – I even enjoy it sometimes...

It is almost time for the rugby world cup to start and that means sports will fill our home. I thought I would get the girls involved by making something for all the men in the family. I know where I am with crafting!!

We were sent these rugby coasters from Baker Ross, the perfect activity for a Sunday afternoon. Little G really enjoyed sticking on the t-shirts and rugby balls, they were a little fiddly for LJ so I helped her out with hers but she enjoyed it too.

Once all of the stickers were on it was time to write out everyone’s names. She wrote her own name and LJ’s and I helped her with Granddad and one of her uncles. I then got sidetracked and came back to find she had sounded out her other uncle all by herself! She wrote Mark as ‘Muc’ and I am proud as punch I can tell you!

A fun little activity and nice coasters to give everyone when they come over to watch matches!

Will you be watching the rugby?
