Originally this was supposed to be a Fathers’ Day gift idea for Mr F, an industrial looking vacuum to make the job more manly. My plan has backfired though as I have found a love of vacuuming I never knew existed!
The problem I have had is that we have hard floors throughout our house and so our old upright hoover wasn’t any good at all. I would have to use the hose attachment to hoover the whole house but as you can imagine, a teeny tiny hole doesn’t provide much coverage. The whole process would take so long that I have taken to sweeping instead, but this doesn’t remove any dust in the air.
The Karcher MV2 is a cylinder vacuum which means it relies heavily on suction (as opposed to a rotating brush) and so is the perfect solution for my flooring!
There are 3 things that I absolutely LOVE about the Karcher MV2
1. ATTACHMENTS The best thing for me is the wide head attachment, it glides over my floor and sucks up all of the dust that gathers and all of the tiny bits of rice that Little L drops at dinner time! The other smaller nozzle is great for getting into nooks and crannies!
2. WHEELS I can merrily hoover the whole house and the vacuum will follow me everywhere, gliding along on the swivel wheels. This means I don’t have to push a heavy hoover around or worst still, have the upright hoover fall over when I stretch too far!!
3. WET & DRY The Karcher MV2 is able to suck up small spills without having to change any settings. This is great for the kitchen or anywhere that Little L may have spilled her juice. It also means it can be used outdoors – I have plans to vacuum my decking!!

These are just 3 of the reasons I love the Karcher Vacuum but there as so many great features. The suction is fab and would be perfect for carpets as well as my hard floors. I am now a vacuuming convert (although don’t tell Mr F!).

I bought this vacuum when my old one of 10 years had finally packed up. I thought I would go with a DIY vac so that my husband could use it as well as me. This turned out to be one of the best ideas I have ever had because my husband took this as an opportunity to complete all of the DIY jobs he has been meaning to do over the past 5 years. You would think that this would worry me but with my new purchase all of my worries diasppeared. This cleared up all of his mess and more, like wallpaper shavings, sawdust and even moss out of the gutter. By the end of the weekend, our house looked brand spanking new! Thank you Karcher
