Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it. Share your happy posts, I love to read them!
This week has been all about getting the house ready for Christmas. It is my favourite time of year and as soon as December arrives I am in the loft like a shot! Although I have to say last year we waited until after LJ’s birthday and it was a mistake. I ended up wishing her birthday out of the way and didn’t enjoy it at all. So this year we are embracing the fact she has a Christmas birthday, our little Elf Sherry will be bringing her presents!
As well as our beautiful tree, I like to sprinkle a little Christmas magic all over the house, no room is left untouched! We were given a cute mini tree as well as our main tree and as soon as I saw the red pot I knew where it would have to go… the kitchen!!
It is so very diddy so hasn’t got many decorations on it at all but I love that I have a little hint of Christmas when I am baking!
I was also sent this festive bouquet yesterday, cheered me right up after a very long and stressful week. I love flowers and so having this aptly named Christmas Cheer did indeed cheer me up.
I bought these advent stockings last year, I have a feeling they were from Wilkos- they have some great stuff this year too actually. I don’t fill them with anything as we have plenty of other advent bits and bobs but they just spruce up our bannister.
Here is our actual advent calendar (besides the cheap chocolate ones), I made it myself and am pretty pleased with it! I couldn’t resist when I saw it in Hobbycraft and loved it immediately!
The girls have their stockings hanging on their doors throughout December. I think it is a shame not to have them on display really- especially when they are so gorgeous! I am a sucker for anything personalised and so couldn’t resist these from Izabela Peters!
Last but not least, not a decoration as such but a scent! I love anything that smells of Christmas and am always buying festive candles. I was sent some great little oils from doTERRA to try and they have made my living room smell so great! My favourite is the Xmas Blend and actually rubbed on my temples the other day as it is also great for headaches- I was in heaven walking around smelling of Christmas!

I love Christmas smells too! I decorate the lounge, dining room and entrance passage sometimes I am tempted to do other rooms too but I try to rein myself in a bit lol. I do love your kitchen mini tree, I think I could be persuaded to have one of those :) Thanks for hosting #HappyDays Debbie

It is cute isn't it? I think as long as the main rooms are done then you get a real sense as you walk into the house. x
