Sundays mean lazy days in our family. We get up late and stay in our pyjamas for a little too long. Now, having kids means we still get woken up at stupid o’clock but the girls inherited our genes and love to be lazy too. Little G is the first to wake up, she closes the stair gate and opens LJ’s door, then they both jump into our bed. There we stay until we can be bothered to go downstairs! I love the time we spend as a family, snuggled under the duvet, talking about our week. I am less a fan of the time LJ spends in our bed when she has reacted to something but I know that won’t last forever- I must cherish those baby cuddles.
Our bed is my favourite piece in the room and I especially love our kingsize duvet. Our bed is only a double but having a larger duvet means I never have to fight Mr F for the covers in the night. We even took it with us last weekend when we went to BlogStock and were so toasty! If you are wanting to sleep in a cloud then you need a Slumberdown duvet too!
Something we have started doing recently is reading stories in our bed. I don’t exactly know why we have never done it before but after reading a post over on The Cuddle Fairy I decided to start it in our family too. Much easier than splitting our time between the girls and their rooms. We do it for bedtime but we also enjoy a book or two on a Sunday morning.
I took this photo last Sunday when I was having a bit of a tidy upstairs. The girls had climbed back into bed with a book and Little G had started reading to LJ. They are so cute these days, always together. I wish I could freeze time, hold onto these moments for a little but longer. I am not ready for them to grow up! I know there is a while until they leave home but with Little G starting school it is just the beginning of it all isn’t it? Time passes too quickly.
I just want these lazy Sunday mornings to last forever.

We do the same thing with a king sized duvet on a double bed. It's a must have these days. We do lazy saturday mornings, as Sunday we have mass. Those photos are adorable too x

Love this photo so much. It looks so inviting in your bed! We have just started to have 'lazier' mornings now as the twins might read or watch a little TV but they are quite keen to get up still! I can't wait for my lie-ins again one day! Cute post xx
