I have been so excited for this week’s ‘expressions’ post. I have been really looking at my children this week and I managed to capture this moment!

When I fell pregnant my biggest fear was that Little G would suffer and that she would resent the new baby. I have a great relationship with my sister and I wanted them to be the same- to be best friends. I have said before that we are so lucky that Little G has shown no signs of jealousy (read how we helped her to prepare for a new baby in the family here). From the moment Little G came to the hospital to meet her new sister the love was there. I know sisters will squabble but I knew from that moment that they would have a close bond.
Baby L first smiled when she was 5 weeks old and it was for her big sister. At nearly 6 months old she is now laughing daily and who for? Yep you guessed it, Little G. I have tried to make her laugh and manage to get a tiny chuckle but she finds her big sister hilarious! It doesn’t even take much, sometimes all Little G has to do is talk! It makes my heart melt, to see my two precious babies communicating through laughter.
I caught this photo while Little G was blowing a feather into the air. Baby L was fascinated and every time the feather shot into the air she erupted into hysterics! She would then wait and look longingly at her sister to repeat it again and again. Her expression captures her love towards her big sister perfectly!

It makes my heart melt! It also makes me love my sister even more as I can remember her looking at me like that (8 years between us).

I know :-) she makes me smile everyday. My oldest was always a serious baby, still is now, so it is such a novelty to have a smiler!
