Siblings In September

I know there will be a lot of people feeling the same as me this month- seeing their close-knit siblings separated by the new school year. My girls have spent the whole summer getting closer and closer only to be split up by a new routine. It is taking a lot of getting used to and I am yet to find a happy medium but we are slowly finding our way.

Being only a few days into September and most of those being taken up by school, I haven’t got a huge amount of photos of the two of them together. As I was sorting through my photos I found one that just summed up their relationship at the moment.

Now that Little G is at school their relationship has changed already. Over the summer it was all about fun, messing about and having a great time with each other. With the new term has brought a new routine- LJ naps in the morning and Little G is at school in the afternoons, leaving a short time to actually be together.

Their time together now is spent very carefully. They read together and sit quietly cuddling watching the tv as I cook dinner. Part of it is the fact Little G is exhausted but really I can see that they miss each other. School may have split them up but it has also made them stronger and brought them closer.
