I have always loved lists, Mr F always laughs at me as I make a list for absolutely anything and everything. It helps me to organise my thoughts and I always feel less stressed once I have written everything down. It is always good to see jobs ticked off too isn’t it?
Now my problem has always been that I will make a list and then I will lose the list – possibly due to the fact that I may have had far too many notepads. I had a notepad for day to day tasks, one for blogging, one for school, one by the side of my bed… the list goes on! Literally!
I first heard of Bullet Journaling a few months ago when I saw Em (Snowing Indoors) had written about it. It immediately caught my interest and I found myself lost in a world of YoutTube videos showing you exactly how it all works.
Take a look at this video to find out the basics..
Do you love it already?? The one thing I haven’t used yet (due to the fact I adore my diary) is the monthly calendar. But actually I am already finding that I need to have a calendar listed as it is much easier to have everything in one place.
One of my earlier (not so neat) pages.
It is simple really, you have just one notepad and you organise your tasks into days. If you don’t complete a task on one day it just gets moved to the next day (see the arrow in the box).
I have a gorgeous Journal from TOAD Diaries and the fact that it is personalised makes me smile every time I use it. I also have very pretty colourful Staedtler Tripleplus Fineliner pens which I use to decorate and prettify my pages.
People choose different page styles but I went for squared paper as I like to draw little boxes for each task. There are different symbols for each type of task but on the whole I use a bullet point for an event and a square for a job that needs to be completed.
People use their bullet journals for so many different things and eventually I may move onto that but at the moment I feel like my journal is keeping me on track each day – ensuring I meet deadlines, remember to take photos for reviews and know exactly what I am doing each day. Over the last few months I have felt like I am not in control of so many things but bullet journaling has definitely helped me to maintain some control over my life!
If you fancy giving bullet journaling a try then I have 3 personalised TOAD journals to give away. All you need to do is complete the widget below. Good luck!

I really like your idea of bullets and boxes... can you elaborate as I would love to implement the idea into my routine!

Um ok so I would do a box for a task - for example 'Sort the garage' and then put a tick in the box when it is complete. Or an arrow to indicate if it was moved to the next day. I would use a bullet for an activity that is going to happen no matter what - more like a reminder. So, 'going to the dentist'. Doesn't need a tick, just have it there to remind me I need to go to the appointment. Does that make sense? x

I am so on the fence, I know I should love it, but I am not sure it would work for me. I think I will try it again though. But I just made my diary! Wahhhhh xxx
