Photo Diary: Window Shopping In London With My Girls

I am becoming a real regular in London now, as are the girls. We are there every other week and each time we go we explore different parts of London that we have never been to before. There are however, a few places that are our favourites and Oxford Street and the surrounding streets are definitely one of those places. London has such fab stores, I love that there are so many that have stood for years and years. Christmas time is definitely the best time of year to go too as you get to see all of the amazing window displays. Liberty’s have fantastic displays this year and the girls made a beeline for their kids window.

We were feeling really festive anyway as we were off to a Christmas themed event and the girls were wearing their gorgeous JoJo Maman Bebe jumpers. I have been waiting for ages to get them out after they arrived a few weeks ago and so this was the perfect excuse. They had so many compliments too, they really are lovely aren’t they? I am fully embracing Christmas now and may even get out my own red jumper!

The window shopping became a little too much and we had to do some shopping! Hamleys is always on our hitlist, we have been so many times now and the girls really love it. Little G had some money to spend, she was given it for her birthday but only found it the other day. She must have put the £10 note in her pocket and somehow it survived the washing machine several times! Of course I couldn’t let one have something and not the other so they both came away feeling very pleased with themselves with their little bags. Had to buy 5p bags too- can’t not have a Hamleys bag can you?

It was then off to the event, something I will be writing about soon so keep an eye out. It was such a fascinating afternoon and made me think about how lucky I am to be in full health. I have the odd cough and cold, I have a couple of allergies, but nothing that hugely impacts on my life and that is something to be so thankful for.

The girls were absolutely amazing all day, something else I also take for granted. I always get so many people telling me how well behaved they are and how well they play together. It is something I don’t really notice as they have always been that way. I don’t know if it is down to me being a teacher or something in their genetics, or both, but they really are amazing and I should give them more credit for it. I am a little strict on them at times but I really need to loosen those reins a little every now and then.

Another great day in London, besides the horror that is the underground system. I think I may avoid it completely in future and get a black cab instead- the stress is certainly not worth it! It won’t stop me going back to London with the girls though, it is one of my favourite places and I cannot wait to go back!
