Happy Days: Getting In The Christmas Spirit

Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it. Share your happy posts, I love to read them!

Ok, so I know it is still November but Christmas is everywhere isn’t it? I am so excited and have even started adding a touch of Christmas here and there around the home- I just can’t help myself ! The tree is coming on Tuesday- our first real one so that is extra exciting. I had a real one years and years ago when I was still living at home but it was a one off and my parents didn’t get one again.

Yesterday we went to a garden centre about half an hour away- Van Hague near Ware in Herts. It is a Christmas paradise and we go every year. I even went on my due date with LJ 2 years ago- I was determined to walk and walk until she dropped. She kept me waiting another 8 days the little monkey- I should have known then that she would be a troublemaker!

Christmas at Van Hague

I may have spent a little too much on Christmas decorations, anything red and sparkly is just too much to resist. I got some great gifts for a couple of people on my list though so that was a good job done. I only have a few more people to buy for and even then that is mostly vouchers so not too taxing. Next stage will be wrapping them all- possibly my favourite part of the whole event! An afternoon spent with rolls of paper, sellotape and ribbon is a happy afternoon!

Girls on the carousel

The girls had a ride on a carousel too, bit expensive but with all the festive cheer I couldn’t resist- and look at their faces!

On the way home we stopped off at Hobbycraft and got a little carried away in there too. I bought a make-your-own advent in the shape of a tree. I am not entirely sure when I am going to have time to paint it between now and Tuesday but I will have to find some from somewhere! I also have to think of something to go in each box, they are quite small so probably just end up putting sweets inside and leave the creative thinking until next year. I still have to get organised for my Elf visiting too- I have the ideas but not the props!!

Christmas is well and truly on the way now and I for one couldn’t be more thrilled! How about you? Are you prepared?

Ooh Christmas! Great pics - looks like you are all getting in the Christmas spirit! I'm the same I have the ideas, but then run out of time to do everything! Am hanging on to the fact that it's still November though, so still time to get organised...! x
