When I had LJ I was so worried that Little G would be jealous and resent her younger sister. Thankfully she was absolutely fantastic throughout the pregnancy and once she was born. Honestly though she has remained an only child for the longest time- having a baby as a sibling is not much fun really is it? Even when LJ started to crawl there was no real interaction. However, as LJ approaches her second birthday they are now able to communicate and play as young sisters should.
One of their favourite things to do is play with their small world toys – anything that involves little figurines makes them very happy indeed! I love hearing them chatter away to each other (more Little G than LJ of course seeing as she only has about 4 words in her vocabulary!).
Little G has started mimicking me which is hilarious- she will say things like ‘it’s ok darling’ and ‘don’t worry sweetheart’ in such a caring voice! So cute! She just adores her little sister so much and it melts my heart it really does!
LJ adores her sister as much as she is loved in return and wants to be just like her. When Little G laid down on her tummy she got down (very awkwardly) and copied her. I can remember Little G going through this stage but of course she only had me to copy. It is so lovely to be able to sit back and watch from the side, to see the changes in front of me.
Don’t you just adore their leggings? I want a pair for myself although not sure I could pull them off haha! They are perfect for the weather at the moment, so warm but not too heavy at all! Go check out the Blade and Rose website, I’m telling you they are all gorgeous!
I feel like I am so privileged to be able to spy on their special time, to zoom in on moments like these when I can see real glee in their eyes, to see the love they have for each other. Little G told me today that she really loves her sister, just out of the blue but she just wanted to tell me. I got a bit emotional, it is all I ever wanted for them, to have a best friend for always. I hope they always look at each other that way.

Oh aren't they just so adorable together! It's such a lovely stage when they first get to be real friends not just children who live in the same house! And I'm with you on the Blade and Rose love, Elma had two pairs, one pink with cupcakes and the other zebra stripes which have been passed down to Pip!
