This August was mine and Mr F’s 5th wedding anniversary. I cannot believe it has been five years already actually but in that time we have had two little girls, moved house and changed jobs a few times- life is very different.
We got married at Sopwell House in St Albans and within their grounds is a pond with a little red bridge over it. On our wedding day we quite a few shots taken on the bridge and over the last few years we have gone back to recreate those shots. We have the photos up in a frame and they act as a timeline of our married life.
The first of course is of the two of us on our wedding day, where it all began.
We returned for our first anniversary, I was 8 months pregnant with Little G. I so wish I had my camera back then but I had to make do with a phone camera.
Our third anniversary and Little G was just over 18 months old and I am 6 months pregnant with LJ. Unfortunately it was dusk when this was taken, again on my phone and so I have had to zoom in and lighten it to make it a viable photo. Terrible quality but a captured moment- and one of the only photos of the three of us.
So 2015 was our five year anniversary and we have both of our girls with us. Five years ago I married my best friend and didn’t know what was waiting for us. But today I have my little family and I love them all so much. Was raining unfortunately so a bit of a funny haze on the photos- one day I will get a clear shot of us all!!
Had to throw this one in for good measure- look at LJ’s face!! What a pair of monkeys!!
We plan to go back for our 10 year anniversary next and the girls will be old enough to stand by our sides. I would love to go back with grand-children one day too, just to complete the set.
