There is something so fun about packing for a holiday, you get to wear clothes that you may not otherwise get to wear the rest of the year round. Living in Britain can certainly limit your wardrobe at times and so getting to go on holiday means you can treat yourself to some new outfits.
As it happens, we have had a bit of a scorcher here in England this year haven’t we? This is great news as it means I get to wear my holiday clothes for longer than a week!! The more weight I am losing the more confident I am getting too so am feeling more comfortable in front of the camera- I thought I would share some of the outfits I was loving while I was away (and will be wearing all summer long!)
Oh how I love these dungarees! This time last year you wouldn’t have caught me dead in them as I was too self conscious of my legs. Fast forward a year and I have grown to love my body, partly due to weight loss but mainly due to an acceptance of my body after a very long time.
It was so so hot in Paris the week we were there. I think if we had gone a week later it wouldn’t have been the case so we were lucky! These Kaftans from Tortue De Mer were an absolute godsend in the high temperatures as we could throw them on and be covered without overheating. The girls loved theirs too and will be wearing them in the garden all summer!
I am a huge fan of stripes, if you look in my wardrobe I would say over half the items have some sort of stripe to them. I am also a huge fan of a maxi dress so this is just a must have for me!
My absolute favourite outfit of the week has to be this one, a loose fitting vest top with a long peachy coloured skirt. You may well have noticed in all of the photos I am wearing these gorgeous wedges! I hadn’t worn wedges in such a long time but after I managed a whole day at Britmums I realised I can still sport them and be comfortable! These beauties are from Daniel Footwear and are possibly the nicest shoes I have ever owned! The leather is so soft I didn’t even feel like I was wearing a heel!
So there we have it, a glimpse into my holiday wardrobe. I am going to make the most of the heat this summer and wear these outfits over and over again before I have to dig out the woolly jumpers!!
