My #SlimFastChallenge Results

I was fortunate enough to be asked to take part in a blogger SlimFast challenge. They send me a huge box filled with goodies, enough for 2 weeks. I was really excited as I am looking to lose weight in preparation for being a bridesmaid this autumn.


The Plan

It is really easy to follow with a 3-2-1 approach. Each day you have 3 snacks of either fruit or one of their specially formulated snacks, 2 meal replacement products and 1 healthy meal. Easy!

They sent a selection of snacks including some cheesy DORITOS, MINI CHEDS, caramel bars and chocolate bars. My favourite were the caramel bars, they were gooey and sweet, perfect for a sweet tooth!

The meal replacements come in two forms, you can choose between the shakes or the bars. I wasn’t too keen on the bars although Mr F thought they were delicious. I much preferred the shakes, especially the vanilla flavour!

How did I find it?

I really enjoyed the plan as far as taste and ease. You don’t have to worry about counting calories or what to take to work for your lunch- just pop a shake in your bag and you are good to go! The shakes are really yummy and so you don’t feel deprived in terms of your taste buds.

However, I did feel hungry most days. I don’t know if that is due to the fact I have been on Slimming World up until now and been eating mountains of Pasta but either way, I found the portions hard.

The results

I would love to tell you that I lost loads but unfortunately I didn’t lose anything. I find it hard to believe as  I have used SlimFast in the past and seen amazing results – I think I lost a stone! So maybe I just did the plan at the wrong time for my body this time around. I did lose inches over the two weeks though which is still fab of course and all counts towards my goal!

Other bloggers on the plan did lose weight and I think I saw someone say they had lost 8lbs! That is amazing! It just wasn’t for me this time.

  1. Oh no! I’m starting today and hate the idea that I won’t lose! Have you lost a lot of weight with SW? I know when I’ve done WW in the past that my losses really slow when I’m close to goal.

      I have lost 11lbs in 10 weeks with SW. I am not near goal but SlimFast slowed me down and being ill has meant I haven’t done any exercise. Back on track now though so hopefully I can shift the next 2 stone! x
