Travelling In The Car With Trunki

We bought Little G’s car seat before we knew the importance of keeping children in rear facing seats for as long as possible. It has always bothered me that her head always rolls forwards when she falls asleep. It bothers her too as she always complains that her neck hurts when she wakes up!

snugglebundle_red_v2_rgbRecently we were sent a Trunki Snuggle Bundle and this weekend we were able to test it out. I am sure you will have heard of Trunki, their suitcases are a must have for any child! They also provide other fantastic travel accessories which aim to make “travelling with tots a doddle”. What more can a parent ask for?

The bundle consists of 3 pieces, a snuggle blanket, a seatbelt pad and a Yondi- a great round the neck pillow to stop that dreaded head roll. All 3 have the special Trunki grip which is perfect for attaching a blanket or cuddly toy.

My favourite accessory is the Yondi, such a simple yet effective product that sits around the child’s neck and connects using discreet magnets. When Little G began to feel tired she was able to put the Yondi on herself before falling asleep. If you had a younger child it is definitely comfortable enough to be kept on for the whole journey.

DSC_0320Little G’s favourite accessory was the blanket, she is a very cuddly child and always likes to have a blanket when snuggled on the sofa. She really liked being able to have her own ‘special car blanket’ and was very cosy as it is made from a really soft fleece.

DSC_0313I was much happier letting her fall asleep knowing her head was going to be kept upright, no parent wants their child to be uncomfortable do they? This set would make a great gift for any child, with the bright colours and happy characters it definitely makes travelling fun!

Do you go on many long journeys?

This is such a fab idea for a long journey. We too have forward facing for the same reason as you – the rear facing I would have bought came out 3 weeks after we’d spent a fortune on two forward facing ones! I’ve always been worried about head rolling but this would stop it. I may have to have a little look! Thanks for sharing :) #kidscorner

Looks like a great little package. Still struggling to get my kids to use their head support pillow. They seem more interested in playing with it than sleeping with it.

Haha oh dear, I think when they get to an age everything is a toy! x
