I wasn’t going to write this post, after not making it through to the shortlist of the BiBs awards I didn’t really want to ask again just be be disappointed. That makes me sound like a sore loser doesn’t it? Thing is, I am totally made up for everyone who made it through and so many of my friends got nominated so that was fantastic! I just would have loved to be a part of it, silly I know as an award isn’t the be all and end all of blogging.
Not a minute after the BiBs were announced the MAD voting opened! It is all go go go in the world of blog awards at the moment it seems. I had decided to keep quiet, not to put myself out there again but a couple of nights ago I was tweeted this:
The fact that someone had taken the time to nominate me brought a smile to my face. It always amazes me that anyone even reads my blog, so to think that they took the time to choose my blog for a category is just fantastic.
Later that day I had another tweet:
Best Writer? How kind is that? I wouldn’t say I am the best writer in the world but again, someone took the time to vote for me and I am truly grateful. I wish I knew who these people were so I could give them a huge squeeze!
Something I wasn’t prepared for at all was this lovely mention from one of my biggest supporters, Laura (Life With Baby Kicks). When she tweeted me the link I popped over to read thinking maybe she would have put me as best pre-school blog. When I read her post I burst into tears.
So what am I saying? To cut a long post short I am saying I am going to throw my hat in the ring once again. I would love to be short listed and to make that happen I need as many votes as possible.
The categories are tricky, as much as I would love to be in the writer or best blog category I know there are far more deserving blogs out there to win that title. So I am going to put myself forward for Best Pre-School blog. I write about our themed weeks, our messy play ideas and the general fun I get up to with my two girlies, so I think that qualifies me for the category.
I would love if you nominated me- it is much simpler than the BiBs as you only have to leave a link to my blog: https://www.whatkatysaid.com – easy!
Here is the link to the nominations page- Thank you! xxxxx
