HappyDays Linky #26

Welcome to HappyDays! If you are new then take a look here. I co-host this linky with Jenna (Tiny Footsteps) so please do remember to go over to her post and say hi! We want to inspire you to make the best out of every day, appreciate the little things in life and have happy days.

Last week I really enjoyed reading about Alana’s week over at Baby Holiday. Her little boy Santi is just the cutest and her photo of him crawling off towards a group of teenagers had me smiling away. She also wrote a very funny behind the scenes post about their trip to Bluestone– you have to read it!

Over to my week.. apologies if none of this makes sense but I wrote this at 11pm last night and my eyes were starting to boggle!

Out and about

We have been enjoying our garden this week so haven’t been out much. We did go to the park on Thursday on our way back from an impromptu trip to Asda to get some bits for a picnic lunch. It was so nice being able to leave the house without the fuss of coats etc..

Yesterday we had a lovely trip to a local farm, the girls had so much fun feeding the animals and playing in the park.

Fun at home

We are so lucky to have a garden and I am always grateful when we have lovely weather like we’ve had this week. We have been outside every day and even had to find the suncream!

DSC_0709 DSC_0739 DSC_0806 DSC_0841Don’t ask what she is doing in the last one, I have no idea but spent ages washing her hair!

Time for me

Managed to go for my runs this week which is great and I also really enjoyed the 2 hours I spent painting a tree on Little G’s bedroom wall. Cannot wait to show you all the finished room!

My Happiest Moment

Little L is 16 months old and has never uttered a single word. She has never even said mama or dada. She babbles but nothing of any sense. Yesterday brought us her first word! What was it? Her big sister’s name. I welled up as that is the ultimate show of love isn’t it? Her first smile and first laugh were both for her too and this completes the set.

Next week I would like to…

I want to carry on the good work I have been doing in the house. If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen the red accessories I bought for the kitchen. For so long the house has been neutral but colour makes me happy. Bring on the colour!!

So jealous of your garden - it looks like you had so much fun out there this last week. It's so sweet that the baby's first word was her sister's name. I'm welling up a bit myself over that one. It's certainly not helping my broodiness, either. :-)
