Starting a Weight Loss Journey

Today is the start of a long journey for me. I have been wanting to lose weight for a while now (forever!!). Not because I am unhappy with the way I look but because I know if I carry on the way I am going I will end up being miserable.

My WeightlossI have 3 stone to lose and I am determined to shift every last pound! My motivation is the fact I am going to be a bridesmaid in October, I want to look back at photos and know I looked my absolute best. I know from past experience that I need to be accountable to someone- there is no hiding when you are having a weekly weigh in!

So, I am going to use my blog, be accountable to you. Each week I will brave the scales and share my successes (and failures) with you. I am going to cut out the junk, stop the snacking and I am going to start exercising!!!

I have been wanting to take up running for so long and I am finally biting the bullet! I have downloaded the Couch 2 5k app and will go on my first run this evening. I am pretty nervous, one- I always think people will laugh at me and two- I have a ridiculous fear of being murdered. Anyway, I am going to give it a go!

Wish me luck!!

GOOD LUCK Katy! I have just come in from completing day 1 week 3 of the couch to 5K. I had the same fear and you have just reminded me of it, but actually when you are doing it, you are concentrating so hard on carrying on and finishing it, that you don't think about anything else!! Keep going! You can do it!!! X

I did my first run tonight and I think I am going to love it! I felt so free! I saw you did another run the other day, I really would love to aim for something like that x

Awwww, bless you darling. I have had that irrational fear when out running too. My tips are to take a rape alarm, run in areas you know, run where there are lots of lights and people or cars. Just think soon it will get lighter and running in the evenings will be lovely. Good luck. You'll be brilliant. Hugs Mrs H xxxx
