Rainy Days

You are probably going to think I am mad but I really do enjoy rainy days. I am not saying those days when you have to go out of the house and end up looking like a drowned rat, no I mean those days when you can pull on some comfy socks, make yourself a warm drink and cuddle with your kiddies on the sofa.

Those days.

The weather has been total madness recently hasn’t it? One minute you are wearing vest tops and feeling as though you could be in the south of France and the next minute you are whacking up the heating! This week we are going to be seeing a lot of rain and I for one am pleased.

First of all, my flowers will love it- I am not very good at remembering to water my garden in the summer so they are desperate for something to drink! You may have heard me mention the fact that Mr F rescued a beautiful rose from a demolition site, it is looking a bit sorry for itself so hopefully this rain will make it feel happier.

Secondly, I get bored of seasons. I can guarantee that in 6 months time I will be longing for the warmer weather, to be able to get out my summer clothes. But for now I am craving my woolly jumpers and my knee high boots. I have even been on the hunt for a new winter coat!

So as I write this my girls are playing dress-up and making one hell of a mess in the living room. The rain is pounding on the roof of our conservatory but we are safe inside, warm and cosy in our fluffy socks.

Think I may go and make us all a nice hot chocolate!
