Our Shapes Themed Weekend

This week’s theme has been squished into a weekend. I have had a proper dose of working mum life having worked all of last week. It meant I didn’t have time to do anything in the week so did the activities on Saturday and Sunday.

THEMED WEEK

There is so much scope for shape activities, Pinterest is full of fun things to do and I am gutted I couldn’t do more. We did a couple of things though and enjoyed the quality time spent together over the weekend.

POTATO STAMPING This was by far my favourite activity and brough out the teacher in me. We started off by cutting the shapes and stamping them here there and everywhere. Then I decided to see how good she would be with repeating patterns. At first she was a bit confused so I simplified it and she got it! Proud mummy moment!

SHAPE GAME This was mine when I was little so a bit of a vintage activity here. Still fab and we spent ages making pictures! Mr F even got involved- his competitive side came out and he made a huge picture!

LOLLY STICK SHAPES This sounded better on paper than it ended up being in reality. The idea was to make shapes using lolly sticks but after triangles and squares we gave up and ended up having fun peeling glue from our fingers!! Ha!

Remember Amy is taking part in themed weeks too so be sure to head over to her shapes post for more ideas! We are super busy this week with Britmums and other bits and bobs so themed weeks will be back in 2 weeks with minibeasts! One of my favourite topics!
