Home Organisation & clothes storage ideas from Lifewit

Inside: Clothes Storage ideas and solutions from Lifewit. Collaborative post.

When you are dealing with small spaces in your home or a less than ideal size for your closet space, it can be really difficult to store all of your clothes in a way that means they are organised and easily accessible. Often you will find yourself cramming things in which then results in you having to pull everything out when you need something specific.

I have been testing out the clothes storage ideas from Lifewit and I have really enjoyed organising everything and being able to see what I actually have at a glance. We have a really small bedroom with not much space for clothes, so I need to make sure I explore all bedroom storage ideas possible.

Lifewit have various products available, from hanging storage for your closet rod to a collapsible laundry hamper. I have been looking at are their clothes storage and organising products and really love them!

Clothes storage bags

foldable clothes storage bags

If you have a small closet then the Lifewit Large Capacity Clothes Storage Bags (US Link) are perfect for storing seasonal clothes or things that you don’t use all of the time. They are collapsible and so can be put away neatly when not in use but will quickly take shape when you need them.

Once filled with items, they form a cube shape and can easily stack one on the other to be placed in cupboards or under the bed – a great way to make use of otherwise unusable space.

under bed storage boxes

I have used mine as under bed storage containers to store my out of season clothes and pairs of shoes and they will stay under the bed until I need them again. The best thing for me is the clear window at the front – allowing me to see which bag contains which items. Another good idea would be to label each bag so you are clear as to what item belongs where.

Underwear drawer organiser

One of the reasons many people have untidy or disorganised homes is due to the fact that they simply have too much stuff. When you have excess, it starts to cause overflow and this is when you find yourself stuffing things into drawers that barely open.

The Lifewit Drawer Underwear Organiser (US link) is a great idea as it forces you to really assess how much you own vs how much you actually need. A common misconception I hear is “I need lots to keep me going until the others come through the laundry”. But actually the fewer items you own, the smaller your laundry pile and the quicker you can have everything clean and available to wear again.

The organiser set comprises of 4 boxes – all collapsible for easy storage.

2 boxes come with square dividers and the other 2 have longer dividers. I used them for socks, rolled up underwear (just as Marie Kondo instructs) and my bras. I can now see exactly what I have and no longer have to rummage around trying to find a specific colour or type.

Foldable storage bins

Sometimes you need to keep things stored neatly but want easy access rather than zipping them away. The Lifewit Foldable Storage Bins are great for storing blankets, scarves and gloves, tiny baby clothes and other smaller items you need easy access to. You could even use them for cuddly toys or a selection of books – whatever suits your storage needs!

collapsible storage basket

They are perfect for keeping on open shelves or at the bottom of your closet if you’d prefer. Having baskets, boxes or bins just created extra storage space when and where you need it for the size of space you have available. Everything is contained neatly within the attractive basket – creating a clean look for your space.

storage baskets with handle

Lifewit have so many perfect storage solutions but another item I have my eye on is their hanging organizer. This allows you to use the vertical space in your closet to store bulky items

such as sweaters, therefore creating extra space in your drawers for your other clothes that you might not have had enough room for before.

They also have a great dual laundry basket, allowing you to sort your dirty clothes into darks and lights as you go – saving you time in the long run. Each section also has it’s own removable laundry bag, meaning you can simply pull the whole load out in one go to transport it to your washing machine. Little details that make a big difference to your day.

If you are looking for a storage system for your clothes then Lifewit is a great option as they have so many different solutions to save you time and space. Find out more at the Lifewit Store on Amazon.
