I really love looking though old photos, it is one of my favourite things to do. I am so glad we live in an age where old photos can be stored and accessed at the click of a button. Something I do need to do though is back up my portable hard-drive onto another hard-drive. The idea of all of my photos being lost makes my stomach churn!
This week’s photo is taking us back to September 2012 when we went on our first family holiday. We took Little G to where we first met- North Wales. We lived in Bangor for most of our time up there but for the last year we lived in Beaumaris on Anglesey.
Beaumaris is part of my heritage also as my mum’s family originate from there. If you don’t know it, it is a beautiful town along the Menai Strait and it is home to a beautiful castle. In the time we lived there we never went inside so we made a point of visiting it on our holiday.
We will probably not go back any time soon but we have made a promise to each other that when we turn 80 we will go back to Bangor pier and find our names carved into the benches at the end.

It was so nice going back but also a bit sad as our university town has changed so much. All our favourite places to go had been knocked down! x

Lovely castle! I've only ever been to Newport and Cardiff so definitely haven't seen the best of Wales! I think it would be great for a family holiday though so must go!! X
