My Weekend Mummy Style

Clothes are great aren’t they? An outfit can make or break a mood and new clothes especially can really make your day brighter. Finding the right style for you can take a lot of practice, learning to see past fashion and find what works for you is actually a skill in itself!

I love clothes, I always have, I love nothing more than picking out an outfit to make myself feel good. The past few years have seen me lose a little bit of my fashion sparkle though, I have been preoccupied with having babies and clothes haven’t really crossed my mind. However, now that the sleepless nights are behind me I can start to think about myself again.

Fashion JumperNow you may think me a bit odd talking about a weekend style when I am, for the most part, a stay at home mum. However, I do tend to dress differently in the week compared to the weekend, I don’t know whether it is through habit or sheer madness but I like to dress up a bit more in the week and be casual on the weekend.

So, with that in mind I thought I would share my Weekend Mummy Style with you. I will be sharing my everyday mummy uniform at a later date!

POLO SHIRT: I love a polo shirt, they are smart but casual aren’t they? This light pink shirt from H & M fits really nicely and is perfect for these hot days we have been having.

JEANS: I have not worn jeans in years! I have been stuck in a leggings rut for the longest time but have finally broken free and bought myself a lovely pair of jeans. Again these are from H & M, I love the quality of their clothes.

SWEATER: I adore this sweater from New Look, it makes me smile every time I wear it as I am always saying I have nothing to wear! It fits well and again, looks great with jeans.

PUMPS: Aren’t these flower print canvas shoes cute? I would team these up with the polo shirt for trips to the park. They are from Jones The Bootmaker and are so comfy! Flower Shower canvas Pumps

WEDGES: I cannot wear heels anymore, having children meant I spent far too long in flat shoes! However I can just about manage wedges and these heeled wedge sandals from Jones The Bootmaker are bang on trend!

So that is what I wear at the weekend, jeans being the staple and then choosing key pieces to wear with them.

What do you like to wear at the weekend?

This is a collaborative post. All thoughts and words are my own.

I'm so stuck in a rut with my clothes at the mo, I work from home so pretty much live in leggings & t-shirts/jumpers :( I love this look and that top is gorge! :)

That is the rut I have been in but I have decided that even being at home I need to make an effort. I want to look nice for me :-) xx

I do not need a jumper but I might have to make space for that one.

They are cute aren't they? I normally shy away from 'different' shoes but life is too short- I want to wear things that make me happy! x

Love this post. I'm exactly the same and just finding my style again, I always had one, where did it go!??? I finally got a few bits today but generally feel underwhelmed when I go shopping! I am.in love with that jumper too, its nice to see something printed that we can wear without looking like we are trying to crasp onto our teenage years. You're looking fan and lovely too xx
