Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it. Share your happy posts, Sian and I love to read them!
I almost didn’t write this post. I almost messaged Sian and said could she take over for the week so I could have a week off. This week has been so long and I am sitting here on the brink of tears as I am so tired and drained. I am totally ready for the weekend and I am 100% looking forward to half term so I can have a break from the school run as it is killing me!
But, as I thought about it I realised that if I didn’t write the post I would lose the purpose of the whole series. By focusing on the happy I will cheer myself up and hopefully break out of this negative cycle I am in right now.
What has made me smile this week?
– No germs! I am SO happy to say we are finally well!! Hurrahhhhhhh! I am treating January as a complete write-off, so happy new year!! Haha!
– Gracie went up a reading level at school. She loves to learn and is pretty much a self taught reader- she blows my mind she really does! She is also learning to spell and can spell words like ‘school’ and ‘would’ which are so tricky! Such a proud mama!
– New clothes. I went shopping on Wednesday and got myself a new shirt/blouse and a new blazer from Gap. Definitely my new favourite shop!! Will show you what I bought another day.
– Cloth nappies. Bit of a weird thing to be happy about but I really do enjoy choosing nappies at each nappy change and I feel so pleased with myself for sticking with it for so long. Money saved and less landfill contribution – win win!
– Bedtime discos. Just now before the girls went to bed we had a boogie in the living room. So much fun to just let go and dance around for a bit.
So just a few things this week, I wish there were more but I am just too drained. But, we are all healthy and that is a huge improvement from the last few weeks and I am so thankful for that. I just need to sort my head out so that I come back cheerier next week.
Have a great week!

So glad you are all feeling better now. We all have those weeks, or sometimes those months, let's face it! I've just gone down with an awful cold this weekend, so just trying to rest when I can now. When you get sick you suddenly realise that nothing else really matters don't you? It's just all about getting well again. good for you for seeking out the happy moments anyway! xx

Aww glad you're all germ free now, sounds like a horrid month! Some are definitely worth just writing off. Way to go Gracie, that must be such a proud feeling knowing that she's progressing so well. You really can't beat a 'mad half hour' dancing around the house to help bring a bit of cheer. Hope Feb is a better month for you all. Thanks for hosting xx

Hope everyone is on the mend and you can catch up on sleep. I've never done the bedtime disco, it sounds like fun. I really should try to introduce it. Great ida. Have a good week xx
