Willows Farm Easter Eggstravaganza 2018 - What Katy Said

Willows Farm Easter Eggstravaganza 2018

Inside: Review of our trip to the Willows Farm Easter Eggstravaganza

I am so pleased that the Easter holidays are here! Two whole weeks of having my girls home and being able to go on adventures.

The weather may not be playing ball but that is not going to stop us from making lots of memories!

On Saturday we went along to Willows Farm for their Easter Eggstravaganza for the first time – the girls were so excited and so was I after the fun we had at Christmas.

As it was raining when we arrived, we headed straight to the Busy Bee craft tent where they had loads of bits and bobs to decorate and make.

The girls immediately set about decorating eggs to hang on the Easter wishing tree – such a lovely idea.

Wills was happy colouring – his new favourite thing to do!

We then went to the Peter Rabbit Theatre for a show with Lily – Lil’s favourite character from the show, of course.

As we left the theatre, the clouds cleared and we were just in time to meet Benjamin Bunny. They have several meet and greets throughout the day so you never have to queue long.

With sun making an appearance we were able to head down to the Easter Egg hunt – such a lovely activity where they have to collect 5 different eggs and swap them for a tasty treat.

Wills was happy as Larry collecting his eggs and they even had dairy-free treats for him!

Once we’d swapped our eggs for treats, we checked the map to see what other activities there were for us to do before the rain came again.

We headed up to the adventure playground, which is laid out with different areas from Peter Rabbit. Of course, there is Mr McGregors Garden, which has various things to do.

Lil’s favourite was the slides – she must have gone down them 50 times in a row!

The girls enjoyed exploring Mrs Tiggy-Winkle’s kitchen – so lovely that it is interactive for the little ones.

Gracie’s favourite part was the climbing area – she would have stayed in there all day I think!

Just before the heavens opened we managed to take a look inside Mr Todd’s Lair, which is new for 2018. There are tunnels and a slide to explore – another big hit with the girls.

I love that there is a mix of indoor and outdoor activities – we made good use of everything! Wills loved saying hello to the guinea pigs in The Farmyard and went crazy when he saw the pigs and piglets!

The girls have decided they would quite like a guinea pig now… I may just have to get more tickets to come back for a visit!

Just before we headed home we managed to grab a meet and greet with Lily and Cottontail, which made the girls’ day!

It was a fantastic day out, despite the bad weather, and I would definitely recommend it if you are in the Herts/Beds area. The Easter Eggstravaganza is running until the 15th April 2018 so go grab your tickets!

We were invited along for the purpose of this review. All words and thoughts are my own.

Aww this looks so good. I’m gutted we’re not close enough. We went to watch peter rabbit and the kids all loved it! The meet and greet characters look great – sometimes I find they can be a little dodgy looking !
