Inside: A review of the IMO Q4 Pro mobile phone | Features Press Samples
The mobile phone market is dominated by 2 main brands but that does not mean there aren’t great alternative phones out there. You just need to know what you need from a phone and what deals are available within your budget.
If you are looking for a new phone, whether it is for you, your child or for someone you know, then I’d like to introduce you to the IMO Q4 Pro smartphone.
Who are IMO?
IMO means “In my opinion” and it is the opinion of their customers that is the driving force of the company.
“You’ve told us you love travelling, going out and about, spending time with friends and family and searching the internet. So that’s what our products help you to do. In the digital age connectivity is a great benefit, and IMO believes in making it simple and fun.”
IMO Q4 Pro smartphone
In May 2020 IMO launched the Q4 Pro and it is the perfect budget-friendly entry-level phone. If you aren’t looking for complicated software that you’ll never need, this device is stylish, easy to use and will do what you need.

Q4 Pro display
The Q4 Pro boasts edge to edge display with an 18:9 widescreen ratio and top quality 540 x 1132 dpi resolution. The screen is 5.45″ and as you can see side by side with my iPhone X it is a decent size.
I found the colours to be a bright but lacking a little depth as you can see with the comparison with my son’s favourite tv show here.
But, unless you are planning on using your phone for some serious movie marathons the display is perfectly adequate for giving to your kids to keep them quiet in the back of the car!
The visual appeal
It is very sleek in design and I love the midnight blue colour. It is lightweight and a decent size to hold in your hand. Running Android 9 GO edition it is up to date with all tech and with IMO face unlock, you feel like you have a decent piece of kit for your money.
The only thing I found tricky was opening up the back of the phone to insert the battery and sim card. Once done you don’t have a need to take it off again so it isn’t much of an issue.
With a 5MP front camera and dual rear camera of 8MP+0.3MP it is able to take pretty decent photos if you are wanting to upload to social media. If you are wanting to take photos to print then you may wish to look for a 12MP lens to get crisper images but for the price, you really can’t complain here.
As the device has relatively low RAM compared to others on the market, it isn’t able to run massive apps with ease. As a result, battery life is outstanding.
So if you are wanting a phone that can do the essentials (phone + text) with the ability to check in on social media when you want, then the Q4 Pro is ideal with its Quad Core 1.4GHz processor. If you’re more of a gamer then you will want something with a higher RAM.
We’ve been using it through lockdown as a way of allowing my eldest to chat to friends on House Party while playing on Minecraft on the x box and it has been great! We’ve barely had to charge it, yet it has been able to process being online on a video app for lengths of time.
A note on the storage…
It comes with 16GB which is perfectly adequate unless you plan on taking photos. However, it does have a slot for a microSD card which will boost the storage to 64GB should you need it.
If you want a phone that is sleek, easy to use and reasonably priced the the IMO Q4 Pro is a fantastic option. Find out more from https://www.imomobile.co.uk/.
