Bringing light to our garden with Aldi

The garden should be an extension of your home, shouldn’t it?

Well, ours has been neglected for the past 5 years, resembling more of a wasteland than an enjoyable space. We’ve always been too busy to make the time for it and it has really shown.

This year I want to make it into a really inviting space, with pretty flowers and lots of decorative features. So with Aldi having a garden event this weekend, we got ourselves outside and added some solar lights for the first stage of our plans.

I love an Aldi Special Buy, don’t you? They are always great value and you always leave with so many great products that you didn’t even realise you needed. Turns out solar lights are a bit like this – you definitely need them in your life!

Solar Crackle Lights – 6 Pack £ 12.99

Gardenline Solar Stake Light – £5.98 for a pack of 2

Garden Bright Solar Vela Windspinner – £ 12.99

Aren’t they fab? I especially love the windspinner, it will keep Wills entertained for hours!

You can’t tell much difference in the day of course so I also needed to get some colour in the form of flowers!

They have quite a few hanging baskets to choose from, always a quick and easy way to add colour without knowing too much about gardening.

I am so pleased with how the garden is looking and it has definitely spurred me on to buy more plants and get some more decorative pieces.

Our front garden is more like a yard and so I want to get some pots planted up to add some colour and interest there too.

Pop down to your nearest Aldi to see what they have in store or head over to see what online bargains you can pick up too!

We were gifted these pieces from the new Aldi Special Buys garden range but all words and thoughts are my own.

  1. You have to love Aldi! THough I do feel like their special buys can be somewhat random at times! But their gardening stuff is awesome. We’ve had a load of stuff from there over the years! Their baby range is awesome too!

  2. I love an Aldi special buy. I need to get down there as our garden needs a makeover. We have a long expanse of fencing which we need to break up with some lights and colours.
